1.3.3 Cassaforte da installare
Did you know that only a small percentage of Civil Engineers are directly involved in Structural Design? Are the intricacies of Structural Analysis and Design truly challenging to grasp, or are they simply laborious to execute?
If you aspire to become a Structural Designer or simply wish to acquaint yourself with this discipline, the eStructural Lite: RCD-ASD-USC app offers a valuable resource for learning and comprehending the fundamental concepts underpinning Structural Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete. This application employs a clear and methodical approach, utilizing formulas and computations.
The eStructural app utilizes the Allowable Strength Design (ASD) or Working Stress Method (WSM) for designing Reinforced Concrete (RC) elements such as Slabs, Beams, Columns, Walls, Footings, Pile Caps, and Stairs.
Students can swiftly grasp the concept of ASD in Structural Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete. Educators can enrich their lessons with plentiful examples. Professionals will find this tool invaluable for efficient Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete using ASD, either for comparison with Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) or as the final design phase.
The app is structured into 6 modules:
- Slabs, featuring One-way, Two-way, and Cantilever types.
- Beams, including Simply-supported, Cantilever, and T-beams that can be designed as Singly-reinforced or Doubly-reinforced beams.
- Columns, with options for Spirally-tied circular columns and Laterally-tied Square and Rectangular columns.
- Foundations, offering Wall footing, Square and Rectangular shaped Isolated or Spread footings.
- Pile Caps for up to 20 pile configurations.
- Stairs, featuring both Transversely supported and Longitudinally supported variations.
Each module for designing structural members encompasses a wide range of customizable parameters to facilitate ease and flexibility in both analysis and design. The resulting design output is presented in a systematic step-by-step format with detailed computations to enhance understanding of the entire design process. Furthermore, designs can be exported as PDF files via email (requires iPhone email configuration settings).
